Every person’s body is not made equal. Each person has a unique body and weight loss products that work for some may not work for others. The 6 week body makeover blue print is used to determine what types of foods the dieter should eat to maximize fat loss. A short 50 question quiz is filled out asking questions like: what areas of the body you are prone to gain weight, what type of eater you are, how much weight you want to lose, eating habits, how active you are, etc.

Based on your the questionnaire, you are assigned a specific body class. Your body class will determine which types of food are suitable for you to maximize your fat loss. Many users of the diet do not like the blue print as some of the foods in the diet are not to the user’s liking. Also preparing meals based on the type of diet has been a complaint among users of the diet. However, people who have used the diet and have stuck with it have had great success.

The diet is very specific and like most fad diets, once you go off the diet, the weight gain will come back. The Michael Thurmond body survey also has exercise routines that you should do to sculpt specific parts of your body. The exercise for some people did not seem hard; however, most people thought that program lacked commitment. The duration of the exercise program is not long and the main focus of the diet program is about changing your eating habits and having a more balanced diet based on your body type.

In conclusion, if you want to learn what types of foods will help burn fat and creating healthier eating habits, then the 6 week body makeover is the type of program that you should pursue. If you are more focused on exercise, then perhaps choosing another program is more suitable.

If you don’t know what I’m about to tell you then brace yourself! You may be quite shocked to find out that 95% of diets don’t work. Many meticulous and well-researched studies have been done to show this

For example, research at the University of California, Los Angeles (which can be sourced from ScienceDaily.com) found that initially, slimmers, when starting out, lose about 5% to 10% of their weight, regardless of the type of diet used. Then, however, some months after, they not only regain the lost weight, but also end up heavier than they were when the diet first began. -It could be said that the irony in this may be summarised with a simple equation: Diet = Weight Gain! Many of the so-called experts with their fad-diets know this.

Many dieters find themselves in this recurring pattern or circumstance: They give up and return to the same old eating habits. Then, because their body’s metabolism had adjusted to the diet period, they put on even more weight than before.

Another major factor that contributes to a failure to lose weight through diet comes from the fact that dieters are being conned by false and misleading information from the manufacturers and dictocrats. This includes calorie counting. ‘The whole idea of calorie counting should be taken and thrown out through the window. Why? Because it’s the quality of food you eat that counts first and foremost.

We’re all aware that supermarkets openly display and well-tout their low-calorie foods, but less people are aware that the benefits are far, far, far outweighed by the disadvantages in eating these awful products: Low-calorie food is factory processed and can have very little quality nutrition value. The solution here is to eat less food, but make sure it is quality. I always summarise good food in that it should have the following main features or common denominators. That the food is:

1.Natural (organic): This includes a good share of seeds, beans, nuts, fruits and vegetables…

2. Is mainly free of chemicals, preservatives with mysterious E-numbers, flavour enhancers, emulsifiers and stabilisers…

3. Has had very little heat treatment. Poaching or steaming is okay

4. Is fresh, since the vitamins & enzymes will not be too denatured and be able to take more of an effective part in the body’s metabolic requirements.

-Slick advertising and marketing has had more than its fair share in deceiving people into eating certain products. It is true to say that bBesides creating much misunderstanding, it has had a significant hand in promoting illness as well as overweight.

An example of this can be found in the deception used to successfully market cheap and nasty fats and oils. Some researchers including myself will say that cheap fats and nasty oils have over the last 70-odd years contributed quite significantly to obesity and diabetes. Don’t believe me? Have a read of a revealing article by Sally Fallon and Mary Enig entitled ‘The Skinny On Fats’ (it can be got from a search engine).

I will say that what I’m about to put forward to you are the most important recommendations you could ever get about diet weight loss.

There are 4 factors responsible for weight loss, which can be turned into recommendations. The first 2 recommendations are obvious and well known, but the other 2 are not. I wouldn’t guarantee to anyone that they will lose weight if they don’t pay heeds to all 4.

The first 2, the obvious ones are

1. Eat healthier in tandem with

2. Appropriate exercise. The remaining recommendations are

3. Undergo hormonal therapy. Many people understandably scream in frustration when they have no success with 1 and 2. They may find that they have hormonal imbalances. This can be put right by practitioners who are well versed in this form of treatment. Finally, another very important factor is

4. To eat accordingly to your ‘metabolic type’.

‘We know that carbohydrates, proteins and fats are part of an essential diet, but what many don’t know is that each one of us has a ‘tailor-made’ specific dietary requirement, because our body’s metabolism differs from one person to the next. For example, because of the nature of one person’s metabolic processes, he/she being a ‘protein type’ would need more protein than another individual who is a ‘carbohydrate type’.

A individual’s metabolic typing can be established through a diet questionnaire. Eating accordingly to your ‘metabolic type’ may not only produce successful weight loss, but also prevent grogginess and mood swings.

WHY?

diet questionnaire
diet questionnaire

Weight loss is a huge business now-days and there are so many different methods that promises results, that it is very hard to navigate in this jungle. With all of the diet tricks out there, it is difficult to determine which weight loss methods are legitimate.  Also most of these methods are costly and often give different results from individual to individual, this makes it even more difficult to find one that works for you.

My recommendation if you are looking for permanent results is to go the natural way; fat diets, unbalanced diets, diet pills, diet supplements, weight loss surgery and other short term weight loss methods are not recommended for permanent weight control.  Sudden weight loss methods are also dangerous to the body.  But today more people are realizing that natural weight loss methods are the only way to achieve healthy, lasting results. Natural weight loss methods are proven to be the safest.

A natural method is, when your body burns more fat that it consumes. What you put in your mouth is of course very important also. There are many diets available, for example herbal weight loss methods are proving to be effective the world over, and have attracted wide-spread media attention as a result.  Other effective weight loss method is the good old exercise. Exercise is a natural as well as permanent solution for weight loss.

There are clinics and doctor’s specialized on weight manage. A patient’s situation is carefully studied and after that the plan is to manage body weight depending on the patient’s risk factors in health, and the rate and effect of these factors.  These methods are costly, but you will feel that you are in safe hands.

Not long ago a medical clinic run a test on people who had earlier participated in a weight loss program;

First all participants received two dietary questionnaires to complete at home. When looking at the results, it should be noted that for role functioning, emotional and mental health there was no difference in the scores between those perceiving themselves as just right and too fat.  For men a similarly direct relationship was observed between weight loss history and quality of life, but differences between weight loss categories were significant only for physical functioning, bodily pain, general health and vitality.  For women all quality of life dimensions (with the exception of vitality, mental health and role-functioning emotional) differed between body mass indexes after adjustment, with the overweight having lower mean scores.  Perceived weight was associated with general health and vitality, independent of obesity in men. Those women with a stronger history of weight loss had significantly lower scores for physical function, mental health, bodily pain, role functioning, emotional, social function and vitality.  Longitudinal analysis showed that women with weight increase of greater than 10% had significant lower quality of life scores in terms of physical health, general health and vitality.

This shows us that excess fat in our bodies makes us vulnerable for depression and mental problems, also our vitality levels go down, which means a lower life quality. These results also reflect findings in psycho-social literature and speculation on the part of many clinical and public health practitioners that the impact of obesity on well-being more often depend on subjective assessment by an individual of their weight rather than realistic appraisal relative to healthy standards.

In a society with such a high prevalence of overweight and obesity, quick fix weight loss methods are in high demand.  This is also where the business starts, and I’m sorry to say there are many out there that are more interested in their own earnings than patients well being. Therefore go only after diets and methods which are medically tested and approved.
