So you have decided to start doing the Atkins diet. This can be a very successful weight loss program if you know some of the things to eat. Many people fail at this diet because they lack variety in their eating. What we have come up with is the Atkins diet menu plan where you just pick some of the foods off of our list and make meals.
In a minute we will list foods that you can eat on the Atkins program. When using the Atkins diet menu plan you just choose anywhere from one to three of the items on the list to create a meal. The reason that you will choose only one sometimes is because some of the foods are large. Here is the list:
1. Steak
2. 6 pieces of bacon
3. Sharp cheddar squares – cut out of a block
4. Fast food- Burger wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. Most restaurants call it protein style
5. Pork Chops
6. Eggs
7. Hamburger meat
8. Chicken
9. Ground or whole turkey
10. Ground pork
11. Fish – salmon, halibut, tuna, etc
So now that you have a good list of foods you can mix and match. The whole premise of the Atkins diet menu plan is to have more meals available to you. You can mix steak with eggs, hamburger with bacon, cheese and beef, etc. The more varieties of food you are able to come up with increases your chance of staying on the diet. Have fun with this and you will have success.

How can I lose weight over this summer, also I want to make my appetite smaller so I’ll be hungry less?
I’ve been trying one diet but I’ve been cheating badly. I’m not necessarily overweight I just want to lose a little bit and tone up before school starts but I don’t have any REAL specific time. Please don’t just say eat right and exercise, because that doesn’t help much. I don’t really want to go on Atkins or be a vegetarian, nothing I have to cut a whole bunch of foods from my diet. I’d like to stop eating sugar and stuff but when I eat one bite, I keep on until it’s gone. How can I make my appetite smaller or shrink my stomach so I don’t get hungry as often. I can’t get surgery, nor do I need to b/c I’m twelve years old going to 7th grade. Please don’t say I need to enjoy youth and I’m too young, etc. Also, any tips and exercise ideas? I usually do the 8 minute abs, legs, arms, buns (all that stuff, a different video each time) every other day from youtube. I’d almost want to cut sugar OUT of my diet but need to slow down and take it easy slowly decreasing it. Thanks for your help!
You’re pretty young to think about being on a diet, and I hesitate to give you some info, but I remember doing some stupid and drastic things when I was younger, so at the very least I can give you some healthy and factual advice!!
You can’t really try to cut anything out of your diet – it’s not going to work because it’s hard to stick to after a few days (if you can even do it that long).
Also, since you’re young, you should be careful about dieting too much – you need to grow (i know i sounded like a mom just then, but i’m 25 and lost a lot of weight successfully this summer).
Best thing to do is plan out your breakfast, lunch and dinner ahead of time. Eat a nice healthy breakfast (don’t skip breakfast). Post shredded wheat is a good cereal to eat for breakfast. It doesn’t have any sugar, and the only ingredient in is is whole shredded wheat, so it is the healthiest type of cereal you can eat. Also, use skim milk or 1% milk. If you feel like you need to sweeten it up, add strawberries or bananas. This is also a good breakfast, because it has alot of fiber, which means it will keep you feeling full until lunch.
At lunch time, make a sandwich at home. Use whole wheat bread, and try to use light mayo, or mustard instead if you can. If you usually put two pieces of cheese, put one, or use low-fat cheese (dairy usually has alot of fat, so instead of cutting down (which i don’t recommend since you are young and need nutrients), eat low-fat versions instead). Also, for a snack, take a couple oatmeal cookies. It will satisfy your sweet tooth, and oatmeal cookies are better than most other cookies.
After school, munch on snacks like carrots and other veggies or fruits like grapes. They’re not so fun, but if you’re hungry or in a munchy mood, these are okay to mindlessly eat.
For dinner, i assume your mom usually cooks for you. Ask her to try to make healthier things, and less fried foods.
To shrink your stomach/make your appetite decrease, remember that your stomach is only the size of your fists when you interlock your hands together. You shouldn’t need to put any more food that that into your stomach at any given meal. The first week, if you are eating smaller portions, you will notice you feel hungry more often. You should keep some healthy snacks on you at all times at school in case you do get really hungry in between meals, so you don’t overeat at mealtime. After a week, your stomach will get used to the smaller amounts of food, and will naturally shrink to its normal size. (Just be careful you don’t overdo it and eat to little).
Also, drink lots of water throughout the day. 85% of people mistake thirst for hunger, and they end up eating when in fact they are just a little dehydrated.
Don’t drink soda or sugary drinks!
Lastly, make sure you exercise after school. If you walk for an hour after school, and break a sweat, you will definitely safely lose some weight. Walking is low-impact, and very safe for anyone of any age.
Remember, losing 1-2 lbs a week is safe and more than that is not – especially since you are young!!

All over the television is something called Right Size Smoothies. Many people wonder if this is a viable weight loss program. The company uses something called Appemine in the smoothies. This is not an actual supplement, but a made up name for a blend of normal supplements. The following things are in that compound: Fiber, Guarana, Cinnamon Twig, Ggalangal root, Cayenne Pepper Fruit, White Willow Bark, and 50 milligrams of caffeine. There is some speculation that the product has more than 50 milligrams of caffeine. Guarana is found in most energy drinks that are on the market today.
There are 5 grams of fiber in the Right Size Smoothies. This is actually the average intake daily by most Americans. We actually should be consuming over 20 grams of fiber a day, but most people are not. This is a valuable thing to have in the smoothies. One of the main advantages of fiber is that it makes you feel full longer so you eat less food throughout the day. Also it helps clean out your insides which help you lose weight.
Every single Right Size Smoothie has approximately 100 calories. This is great because for so little calories you are getting full. Most meals do not get you full for that little of calories. This is one of the biggest draws for the product. A full stomach with only 100 calories, hey that can be a slogan. These smoothies are a big hit with a lot of people for a good reason. A delicious and nutritious shake with only one hundred calories is a great thing.
