Olive oil in curly hair?
Questions about using olive oil for your hair:
1. My hair is very curly and frizzy, and I’ve heard olive oil stops the frizz. My hair is oily at the scalp and dry at the roots, so will olive oil make my roots too oily while it moisturizes the ends?
2. Do you apply it to dry hair or wet? How much should you use?
I just generally want to hear about your experiences with it, if you like using it, and any tips you have. Thanks a ton.
Also, is it really hard to get the smell out? I don’t want to smell like olive oil, so do you think the smell will linger?
i have used it quite a bit – some of my friends wear the oil throughout the day, i cant do that because i have black hair that looks greasy easily even though it’s dry
personally what i like to do is
put some on either at night everywhere(roots and ends) or
some 10/20 minutes before u have a shower and massage it into your scalp
and then wash it out…it makes the hair seem shinier and softer and more tame!
although i was watching a programme where a man was showing how to put it on hair and he said that if you have fine thin hair, use spray olive oil…
it is quite good but for regular use to control frizz i just use serum – for me it’s more convenient.
