How to make my dark brown hair lighter naturally!?
I have tried EVERYTHING! DONT BOTHER ANSWERING IF YOUR GOING TO SUGGEST USING SUN-IN OR BLEACH. my mum wont let me and i much prefer to keep my hair undamaged and natural
Remedies iv tried and failed:
Honey in shampoo
tried it for two weeks. 1/3 of the stuff was honey, 2/3 was shampoo.
Didnt work!
Chamomile tea
washed my hair with two cupfuls of v.strong chamomile tea (3 teabags each)
did it for a week and no colour change!
honey, olive oil, hot water and cinnamon treatment
put 1/2 a cup full of honey into a pint glass and fill the glass with hot water and add 5 teaspoons of olive oil and then 3 teaspoons of cinnamon.
tried it for 4 days
Didnt work!
Lemon in hair and sit outside for an hour.
i did this for 3 weeks last summer and there was no colour change whatsoever!
i also did this with lemon in a spray bottle, still no results.
Lavender tea
did this for 5 days,
No colour change
what Remidies DO WORK?
I think actually lavender is for brown hair that wants to stay brown. Could be wrong but thats what I think.
I would not use bleach on my hair and lemon juice works but you have to stay out in the sun for forever. Lemon juice is not that strong unless your hair is already light.
Peroxide is what I use. Peroxide is oxygenated water so its pretty harmless from what I know. Also whitens teeth and cleans a lot of household things. MUCH safer than bleach. Every winter my hair grows in darker and I spray or soak my head in peroxide and go do yard work for a couple hours (not as long as the lemon process though) and my hair changes. It helps also if you dry it with a blow dryer. Of course I’m not sure you will like my advice but this is what I do and I get compliments on my color all the time. Without the use of anything, the sun will do it, it will just take a lot longer. My result is a very pretty honey blonde. My mom took my advice because she liked my hair so much.
